Heejin Han Kim is a Korean interdisciplinary artist based jointly in Sacramento, CA and Seattle, WA. He is currently completing his B.A. degrees in Drama: Design and Photo/Media - New Genres at the University of Washington.
As a costume designer, Heejin takes a linguistic approach to worldbuilding, and values the collaborative development of a distinct visual language for each project.
With his sculpture pieces, Heejin examines the ways one's lived experience is distorted by the systems that politicize the body. Research interests include labor theory, racial capitalism, abjection, and gender performance.
